Acerpure Pro Vero Air Purifier Brings Recycled Plastic To Its Design
Like the standard Acer Vero products, it features the use of PCR materials.
Acerpure claims its new Pro Vero Air Purifier is the first-in-class to feature PCR (post-consumer recycled) materials in its chassis. Chairman Andrew Hou said: “We’re proud to offer a product that not only keeps the air clean but also reduces waste and environmental impact with the use of recyclable materials such as PCR plastic and an energy-saving green mode. We believe that the Acerpure Pro Vero air purifier is a game-changer in the air quality industry, and we’re excited to share it with our customers.”
The Acerpure Pro Vero Air Purifier is made of 35% PCR plastic, which decreases the CO₂ emissions by 20% in its products compared to using virgin plastic. The carbon footprint is then further minimized with the use of water-based inks and recyclable packaging.
The air purifier comes with a PM2.5 (particles measuring ≤2.5μm) particulate sensor which can dynamically adjusts the best operating modes in real time. A light indicator tells the user the surrounding air’s quality in three stages (red, yellow, green), and the “Green Mode” can automatically adjust it’s power level based on surrounding conditions. The DC motor allows for reduced noise during operation and low power, with the “Quiet Mode” minimizes its presence during sleeping hours.
The filtering system consists of a 3-in-1 HEPA filter which can suspend 99.9% of PM2.5 particles in the air while filtering out harmful gases and allergens with its 4-layer protection system. The activated carbon cotton-infused filter is further strengthened with an anti-formaldehyde coating to remove 99% of formaldehyde and other harmful substances in the surroundings.
The Acerpure Pro Vero Air Purifier is set to go on sale starting this May in Taiwan, EMEA and select Asia-Pacific regions, though Malaysia wasn’t specifically mentioned. No pricing information has been provided as of this writing.
Pokdepinion: The recycle plastic does have that unique look, it’s really up to personal tastes to say if it looks good.
