Resorts World Genting (RWG) and Chinese robotics company AGIBOT held an exclusive sneak preview of their first collaborative robotics stage performance on 29 August 2026 at the Genting International Showroom. The preview marks the first AGIBOT Robotics Performance to be staged outside China since the concept’s global debut in February 2026, and the first presentation under the two parties’ strategic partnership.
AGIBOT Previews Stage Performance Ahead Of 2027 Launch
The performance, titled “Wukong Never Fades,” is a five-chapter production inspired by the legend of Sun Wukong (the Monkey King). The show features a cast of more than 40 robots from AGIBOT’s X2, A3 and D1 series, combining movement, music and Chinese mythology across a 1,000-seat venue that was redesigned for the event. RWG said the production is intended to “appeal to a wide audience, from families and international visitors to technology enthusiasts.”
The collaboration between RWG and AGIBOT was formalized through a memorandum of understanding signed on 17 April 2026 in Shanghai at the AGIBOT Global Partner Conference (APC 2026), covering opportunities across theme parks, leisure, hospitality and entertainment. The partnership progressed from agreement to a live preview in just over four months. The two parties said the production reflects a shared interest in exploring how robotics and embodied AI can be integrated with cultural storytelling to create new forms of guest experience.
The full-scale production is set to officially debut in February 2027 as part of RWG’s entertainment lineup. Further details on ticketing and show schedules will be announced at rwgenting.com.
