Just earlier this week, ASUS Malaysia announced the local pricing and availability of the new ASUS ZenWiFi XD6 AX5400 mesh system. Now we will be looking at a more gaming-oriented WiFi 6 router from ASUS, the TUF Gaming AX5400. As you would expect from the name, the TUF Gaming AX5400 is capable of a combined bandwidth of 5400Mbps. But that’s not the only thing that’s cool about the TUF Gaming AX5400 router.

The router sports the standard array of one Gigabit WAN port and four Gigabit LAN ports, but you can use Link Aggregation for WAN and LAN use, which can bond two of the Ethernet ports together to enable up to 2Gbps wired speeds. On the wireless end, we have all the cool features of WiFi 6 like OFDMA and 4×4 MU-MIMO for faster and more reliable connection to more devices. To further improve signal strength, the TUF Gaming AX5400 also touts dedicated 2.4GHz and 5GHz antennas and beamforming to improve the range of your WiFi coverage.

And of course, if you need more coverage, the ASUS TUF Gaming AX5400 also offers the AiMesh capability, letting you add more mesh nodes to your network easily to expand your home network. Other ASUS-exclusive features include a dedicated Gaming Port that will prioritize wired gaming devices. There’s also AiProtection Pro to keep your home network secure with continuous updates.
