Back 4 Blood Could Feature Microtransactions
There has been talks about Back 4 Blood, the Left 4 Dead franchise’s spiritual successor to feature microtransactions in the game. Despite it has yet to be confirmed, it seems that gamers shouldn’t worry too much.

It appears that should the game does come with such mechanics, it seems that they will only be for cosmetics only and not anything else that could possibly give any advantage to players of the game.
Seeing how microtransactions is common these days in video games, it wouldn’t be surprising to see if Back 4 Blood follow suit. Turtle Rock Studios, the developer behind the game has said they haven’t determined on how they will handle the matter but simply stated that they will only be for cosmetics.
We know we want to have ongoing content after launch, but we’re still figuring out what that would be. If we do implement microtransactions, it would be for cosmetics only.
Chris Ashton, Turtle Rock Studios Co-founder
Back 4 Blood is scheduled for release on the 22nd of June 2021 and will be available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.

Pokdepinion: While I don’t like it when there’s microtransactions involved, it’s pretty understandable that if they did implement it. Let’s just hope that they stick to what they’ve said and let it just be cosmetics (if they indeed bring it).
