ASUS Malaysia Officially Launching ROG Ally In July 1st, Priced At RM3299
The wait is nearly over – ASUS Malaysia has finally announced the details on the company’s first handheld console, the ROG Ally.
For Malaysians, the ROG Ally will come with a single model, powered by AMD’s handheld-focused Ryzen Z1 Extreme APU with 8 Zen 4 cores and 12 RDNA3 Compute Units. The sole configuration also comes with 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM, as well as 512GB of onboard SSD storage (with UHS-II microSD expansion); meanwhile, the 7-inch FHD IPS panel delivers 120Hz and 500 nits of brightness, which is also AMD Freesync Premium certified.
As for the release date, it will be launched at July 1, 2023 at the price of RM3,299. The handheld will be available for sale at ROG Roadshow @ Concourse, Plaza Lowyat as well as various authorized dealers nationwide. ROG is also offering optional accessories including the ROG Ally Travel Case at RM199, as well as ROG Gaming Charger Dock that includes HDMI 2.0 port, available for RM299.
If you can’t wait until then – ASUS is also hosting first online sales with limited quantities (100 units), starting today (19/6) 8:30pm. All purchases made under this category will include bundles worth RM1299, including ROG Cetra Wireless, ROG Ally Travel Case, Screen Protector, ROG Gaming Charger Dock and free additional 9 months of PC Game Pass (totaling 1 year). Buyers will also be eligible with PWP offers, with RM2,000 discounts for XG Mobile GC31S (NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Laptop GPU) and GC32L (AMD Radeon RX 6850M XT).
For the ROG Ally Roadshow set on Plaza Lowyat (starting at July 1st, 10am onwards), the first 100 buyers may redeem the same bundle as aforementioned (RM1,299 total), and also be eligible in lucky draw session with prizes totaling RM6,999. Finally, standard purchases on all ROG Ally authorized retailers will also be granted additional 9 months of PC Game Pass with purchase, worth RM135.
