Taiwanese PC components maker Cooler Master today announces the launch of its newest addition, the GM2711 gaming monitor.

The GM2711 comes with a 27-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) IPS panel with a 1000:1 contrast ratio and 350 nits of brightness. It supports HDR as well – although the bare-minimum VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification means it’s not going to look as good as the ones that feature local dimming or OLED panels. Still, it’s rated for 98% sRGB, 95% DCI-P3, and 90% Adobe RGB color gamut (with Delta-E of less than 2), meaning it should do pretty well in content creation scenarios.

For gaming, this monitor comes with a 180Hz refresh rate and 1ms pixel response time (3ms gray-to-gray), plus AMD Freesync Premium certification. You get a choice of a DisplayPort 1.4 (required for full QHD 180Hz mode) and two HDMI 2.0 for I/O, plus a 3.5mm combo jack for audio. The default stand supports tilt and swivel, though no pivot support – so you’ll need to get a third-party VESA mount, which this monitor supports.

Cooler Master says the GM2711 monitor is now available in Malaysia for the price of RM1,199.

Pokdepinion: Not a bad value as far as QHD gaming monitors go.
