The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 is a relatively small GPU with low power draw and just enough power to do gaming and creative work decently, so most AIB variants you’ve seen out there all come with relatively pedestrian designs compared to its more powerful siblings. ASUS currently has five variants of the RTX 4060 – including the new “DUAL V3” variant, Videocardz reveals.
Meet ASUS GeForce RTX 4060 DUAL V3

It’s uncommon to see AIB (add-in board) partners to introduce a second version of the same card, and when they do, it usually comes with minor technical changes, such as the use of a different silicon (but retaining the same specs). ASUS introducing the third revision of the same silicon, then, is pretty much unheard of. That said, it looks like DUAL V3 is merely a simple facelift of the preceding DUAL V2 variant, with no changes made to the GPU itself.
However, the most obvious change lies down to the fans – the DUAL V3 now features a small pair of fans compared to DUAL V2, which ran pretty much edge-to-edge across the shroud. While the two cards feature a different look (with the new card lacking any graphical art), they’re virtually identical in size. According to ASUS’s spec sheets, the DUAL V2 measures 202.2 x 120.3 x 40.1mm, whereas the DUAL V3’s size is listed as 202 x 120 x 40.1mm.
That being said, this is not the first “V3” card from ASUS. That goes to the company’s RX 6600 DUAL V3, which oddly adopts a similar design as the RTX 4060 DUAL V2. It’s also a relatively new card released in June this year, despite the GPU itself being one generation older by now.
Pokdepinion: Fun fact, there is no TUF variants of the RTX 4060 as of this writing (while ROG and ProArt does). The more you know.
