GIGABYTE Gets Hit By Ransomware Attack

Ransomware attacks aren’t exactly rare these days but it seems that GIGABYTE is the latest company to suffer from it.

According to reports, the attack happened just recently on the 3rd and 4th of August 2021. Following that, the company has announced that they’ve shut down their IT infrastructure and added that only a few of their servers were effected. 

It is said that the extortionist has stolen 112GB of private data as well as info from a code repository from the company. They include data on Intel and AMD chips as well as a s debug document.

The company has said that they’ve reported the issue to the authorities but didn’t confirm on whether they’d pay the ransom that’s put up.
