Another information that further corroborates the claim that Intel will be unveiling its next-generation GPUs, this time from ZDNET Korea.

Intel Battlemage Coming Soon?

The publication obtained sources from a domestic PC maker that claims Intel will be making Battlemage official by the end of this year:

An official from a domestic PC company who requested anonymity explained, based on information related to the supply chain, that “Intel Arc 2nd generation graphics card products based on the 2nd generation Xe-Core ‘Battlemage’ are expected to be released before the end of the year at the latest.”

ZDNET Korea (machine-translated)

According to Videocardz, earlier rumors indicate that the launch should happen before Black Friday (which is this Friday, so we’re just two days away at this point), but there is virtually zero signs that Intel may be announcing a new GPU up until this point. While the chipmaker has already showcased the Xe2 architecture back in Computex, nothing much has happened since on the GPU side of things, much less any news on the desktop card’s launch.

ZDNET Korea’s report also mentioned a distributor’s statement that Intel’s GPUs are used for generative AI or video processing more than gaming, and there seems to be little appetite for the market to look forward to what Team Blue has in store, based on the market share data. So far, we’ve seen two leaked listings from ASRock featuring the Arc B580 GPU, which may be the first model to be introduced if Intel decides to address the mid-range GPU market first.

Pokdepinion: Hopefully this won’t just be a silent launch.
