Intel’s graphics department isn’t exactly smooth sailing to say the least (the company itself is in pretty bad state financially as we speak), so there’s always murmurings of Team Blue giving up this part of business if things are worsening. However, it looks like that rumor has to hold for now, as the chipmaker is reportedly on track to develop the successor of the yet-unreleased Battlemage lineup.
Intel Arc Xe3 “Celestial” On Track

For starters, Xe3 (also codenamed “Celestial”) does exist and is mentioned in some of the information datamined, but the question is on the desktop GPU’s feasibility. To that end, leaker @SquashBionic says “they still have plans for dGPUs after Battlemage.” What is known thus far is that Xe3 will find its way into Panther Lake, the successor to Arrow Lake, tentatively part of the Core Ultra 300 lineup.
Another evidence that confirms Xe3’s development is still on the books is from a LinkedIn listing from an Intel engineer, who is a “lead project architect for Xe+, Xe3, and Xe3p GPU IP.” Besides, HWiNFO monitoring tool also added preliminary support for both Battlemage and Celestial GPUs since late last year, meaning the development is likely well in progress by this point.
Still, before Celestial, we still have Battlemage that is not yet announced – and rumors suggests that this will happen in this December. Recently, one of the Battlemage SKUs has been spotted in shipping manifests, so expect more information to arrive in the coming weeks from official channels and leakers alike.
