Someone Made NVIDIA’s RTX 4080 Founders Edition In White
Ever wondered how would the NVIDIA’s Founder Edition card would look in white color? One Redditor has take the matters to their own hands…
We’ve seen all kinds of GPU modding before – from the XOC-focused shunt mod, to custom coolers and what-have-you. Some of them voids the warranty for obvious reasons, but it hasn’t stopped the most avid of PC enthusiasts from building and running the system the way they wanted.
Redditor TeknoMage13 has painted his RTX 4080 with white to pair his new PC build, and while painting a GPU like this will mostly certainly void the warranty, that didn’t stop him anyway. To make this one-of-a-kind GPU, he has painted the card with white primer, without removing the heatsink. In that way the thermal materials will remain as-is from stock and should not affect the RTX 4080’s performance.
He plans to pair it with other white parts, which includes a AMD-based NZXT N7 B650E motherboard with the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D powering the whole system. Makes for a pretty unique PC build, that’s for sure…
