ASUS Motherboards Gain Support For 256GB DDR5 Configurations

ASUS Motherboards Gain Support For 256GB DDR5 Configurations

Following other motherboard makers announcing the update, ASUS today is announcing new BIOS updates for its range of Intel 600/700 series motherboards. Through the latest BIOS update, motherboards can now support up to 256GB of DDR5 RAM via four 64GB modules, or 128GB maximum for models with two memory slots available.

While Intel motherboards will require new BIOS updates, which are now available, AMD motherboards do not require BIOS updates as support for 256GB configurations is already in place. For Intel motherboard owners, here is the full list of supported models and their respective BIOSes:

Pokdepinion: A bit slower than other manufacturers when it comes to BIOS release, but it’s here nonetheless.
