Razer has announced the Base Station V3 Chroma, with the new headset stand adding automatic headset detection as its new headline feature, enabling specific actions when compatible headset gets picked up by the user. It’s also seen some major design changes as well.

The Razer Base Station V3 Chroma uses Seamless Headset Detection with headsets compatible with Razer Synapse -when a headset is lifted from the stand, users can configure a Razer Synapse profile to automatically change lighting, audio and microphone inputs, launch applications, activate shortcuts or run macros. When the headset is returned to the stand, the system reverts to the default setup. It’s a small convenience for some, though those who wears the cans all day might not find this one particularly useful.
New feature aside, the body is now updated with notable design changes: instead of a flat hook, the new design has a rubberized anti-slip ledge to better hold the headset in place; the base is slimmer than before, moving the two USB 3.1 ports for connecting headset dongles and other peripherals away from the base and into the spine instead. Same applies to the RGB, which is now a 12-zone vertical RGB strip that can synchronize with other Razer Chroma RGB peripherals and supported games.
The Razer Base Station V3 Chroma has a recommended retail price of RM359 and is available now through Razer.com, RazerStores and selected retailers worldwide.
