Celcom Deploys 250 New Sites In The Country

Celcom has recently announced of their investment in improving the network experience in the country where they claim to have resulted in an overall resilient performance in Q3 and YTD21.

They’ve said that they’ve built 250 new network sites and 8000 sites then optimised with improved 4G coverage and capacity across the country. Specifically, the 4G LTE improvement has been notable in Sabah, Pahang, Terengganu, Sarawak, Negeri Sembilan, and Kedah, over the past 9 months.

The telco company has also stated that they’ve achieved an average of more than 94% LTE pop coverage nationwide with 9 states at 98% pop coverage or higher. The improvement recorded more than 54.3% YoY growth with 581.9million GB compared to 377.2million GB in 3Q20.

Aside from that, Prepaid subscriber base saw a +14.4% YoY growth while Postpaid users has seen a +6.6% YoY increase in customer base.
