YouTube has concluded its inaugural Creators for Impact program in Malaysia, gathering six homegrown content creators to help Malaysian families tackle online safety and build healthier digital habits. The closing event was held in the presence of YB Dato’ Seri Fahmi Fadzil, Minister of Communications, marking the end of a three-month initiative that launched in July 2026.
YouTube Creators for Impact Program Recap

The program brought together A Lad and a Dad, Aqil Zulkiflee, Fourfeetnine, FU LOVE, Im_siowei and JE Pong under the “Lighthouse Creators” banner. Each creator developed content centered on practical digital challenges faced by Malaysian parents and young people, covering topics such as screen time management, parental controls, and building healthier relationships with technology.
Each of the six creators tailored their digital safety content to their own audience and style – A Lad and a Dad demonstrated how his family uses Google Family Link and YouTube Kids to guide his children toward more responsible device use. Aqil Zulkiflee used a family challenge format to highlight healthy digital habits, transitioning from screen time on YouTube Kids to an offline activity focused on family bonding.
Fourfeetnine turned the conversation over to her children directly, asking them candid questions about social media, online behaviour, and whether young people feel comfortable speaking to their parents when something goes wrong online. FU LOVE took a practical parenting approach, demonstrating how features such as daily screen time limits can help families establish healthier digital routines.

Im_siowei used her signature short-form storytelling style to explore screen-time boundaries with her audience. JE Pong wove digital safety messaging into a real family moment, using her gender reveal vlog to highlight YouTube Kids and the parental tools available to help shape a safer viewing experience for children.
Collectively, the videos produced by the six creators reached millions of subscribers over the three-month period, with content spanning personal parenting experiences, screen time tips, and practical guides to digital tools families can use at home.
The Minister of Communications expressed support for the initiative, noting that YouTube creators play an important role in making internet safety relevant and engaging for younger audiences, and called for continued collaboration and expansion of the program.
Pokdepinion: Getting parents to actually use parental controls by wrapping it in vlog content is a smarter move than any government PSA.
