Tencent Cloud has announced a significant expansion of its international operations at the 2026 Tencent Global Digital Ecosystem Summit, revealing that its active overseas customer base has doubled over the past year while demand for its AI products and services has grown by triple digits. Alongside the growth figures, Tencent previewed the upcoming general release of its Hy4 model and Hy4 Flash, and unveiled the enterprise capabilities of its AI office productivity agent, WorkBuddy.

Hy4 Model & WorkBuddy Lead Tencent Cloud’s Enterprise AI Push

The Hy4 model is set to deliver enhanced performance on long-horizon and real-world productivity tasks, with improved reasoning efficiency and visual understanding introduced for the first time. Tencent is also preparing Hy4 Flash, a cost-effective variant that carries over Hy4’s visual understanding and agentic capabilities for enterprises seeking a more economical option.

Enterprises can access Hy models alongside leading third-party models through Tencent Cloud TokenHub, a unified platform with a single API that handles access management, usage governance and billing in one place.

WorkBuddy, which launched in March, has processed over nine billion task requests since launch, with adoption spanning more than 50 industries and 50% of China’s top 500 enterprises. Its ecosystem includes over 50,000 developers and partners and more than 200,000 skills. Tencent is now expanding WorkBuddy for international enterprises, integrating it with widely used messaging applications and enterprise systems so teams can work within familiar tools.

Tencent has also launched CodeBuddy, Miora, the Agent Development Platform (ADP), MAGIC AI and Agent Runtime internationally, enabling cross-border teams to collaborate on the same AI workbench. In China, the company introduced Buddy One, a cross-application collaboration system that allows WorkBuddy to coordinate tasks across Tencent’s office applications and specialized business agents.

Tencent Cloud now serves customers in more than 150 countries and regions, with nine out of ten Chinese internet companies expanding globally reported to use Tencent Cloud.
