You Can Only Redeem Your Free RM50 EWallet Credits After Downloading MySejahtera App
As many of you may know by now, Malaysian citizens are eligible to get RM50 EWallet credits starting July 2020. However, the method of doing so and the list of eligible EWallets have still yet to be revealed. However, we are aware of one particular condition, and that is the MySejahtera app.
Download the MySejahtera App to be Eligible for the Free RM50 EWallet Credits
This initiative is part of the ePENJANA program, one of the many initiatives under the PENJANA economic stimulus plan by Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin. There are expected to be 15 million Malaysians eligible for the RM50 free EWallet credits, which are targeted towards individuals ages 18 years and above with an annual income of RM100,00 and below.
The MySejahtera app is available for download on Google Play Store, Apple App Store, and HUAWEI AppGallery. The app itself was developed by the Malaysian government to manage the COVID-19 outbreak, which includes a QR-based contact tracing platform, self-assessment health check, hotspot tracker, and resources for you to look for help.
For now, we still have no idea as to which EWallets are eligible for the free RM50 credits, and the verification method for the MySejahtera app. Given that previously the government chose GrabPay, Touch ‘n Go eWallet, and Boost, we expect at least these three to be the available choices. We will report more on this as soon as information becomes available so stay tuned.
Pokdepinion: Well, we are getting free money in a sense. Just downloading the app is a pretty easy task for that.
