“Tilawah Bersama Bigo” Is A New Quran Recitation Competition From Bigo Live

Bigo Live has just announced a new Quran recitation competition called “Tilawah Bersama Bigo” which will also act as a fundraising campaign, in support of Islamic Relief Malaysia’s COVID Emergency Appeal Food Aid.

Bigo Live launches “Tilawah Bersama Bigo” competition

The preliminary rounds will take place between 24 May and 28 May from 8:30PM to 12AM and the finals will take place from 29 May to 30 May from 9PM to 10PM on the Bigo Live app (BIGO ID: MY.Eventroom). Local Malaysian influencer Farhatul Fairuzah, who is also a Bigo Live broadcaster and the winner of the 2019 International Al-Quran Recitation, will be collaborating with Bigo Live. As an adjudicator, she will be present at the competition’s finals.

Viewers will be able to vote for their favourite competitors through free voting tickets and virtual gifting during the livestreamed competition. All proceeds from the competition will go to Islamic Relief Malaysia’s COVID Emergency Appeal Food Aid, which will help Malaysians affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent lockdowns. In addition, Bigo Live has committed to donating RM4,000 to Islamic Relief Malaysia.

Registration is currently available, and anyone over the age of 18 can enter the competition by clicking here to register. In the finals, shortlisted participants will compete for cash prizes ranging from RM1,000 to RM3,000.

Pokpepinion: Honestly I’ve never used Bigo’s services. Mainly because I don’t really go live nor do I participate in live videos on social media all that much. I like Quran recitation competitions (because I used to participate in them) so I might just give the “Tilawah Bersama Bigo” a watch.
