WhatsApp Reactions Arrived for Android and iOS
WhatsApp Reactions Arriving for Android and iOS
Meta (formerly known as Facebook) has finally made WhatsApp Reactions available as part of the messaging app’s newest stable update. With this, users can express how they feel about specific messages by tagging an emoji directly to it. This is applicable to Android, iOS, desktop, and browser versions of the messaging app.
The choices are limited to just 6 emojis at the moment, as you can see from the picture at the top of this post, but we do expect to see more options coming in future updates.
Of course, the update brings more than just WhatsApp Reactions. For instance, the number of accounts that can be added into groups have doubled from 256 to 512. As for why you would want that, even I would be wondering about it but it would help major businesses maintain an open communications channel with ease.
Apart from that, the file size limit that can be attached to a message has seen a significant increase from 100MB to 2GB. This means that you can add more photos and videos to be sent out in one go instead having a ton of messages for it.
Pokdepinion: Personally, I can’t really care as much but I foresee getting slightly annoyed thinking there would be an important notification on my iPhone, only for it to be someone reacting to something.
