Apple has announced its Worldwide Developers Conference 2026 (WWDC26) will take place from 8 to 12 June 2026. As before, the annual conference will bring together developers, designers, and students to explore updates across Apple platforms, developer tools, frameworks, and technologies. All WWDC26 content will be available for viewing through the Apple Developer app, Apple Developer website, and Apple’s YouTube channels.
Apple WWDC26 Announced
WWDC26 will kick off on 8 June 10AM PDT (9 June 1AM MYT) with the main keynote, where Apple is expected to introduce updates for its software platforms, developer technologies, and AI-related features. After that, the Platforms State of the Union session will follow later on the same day at 1PM PDT (4AM MYT), focusing on technical updates and development tools for Apple platforms.
Throughout the week, Apple says it will release more than 100 video sessions covering development tools, design, technologies, graphics, machine learning, and games; developers will also have access to curated guides designed to help navigate major announcements by platform and topic. Note that session clips can be found on Apple Developer YouTube channel instead of the main one, and Chinese users can access it via bilibili (like the keynote, these can be accessed via the app and website as well).
Developers can also participate in Group Labs, which are live online sessions hosted by Apple engineers and designers. These sessions will include presentations, plus Q&A discussions covering topics such as Apple Intelligence, developer tools, design, graphics, games, and machine learning. Group Labs will run from Tuesday through Friday during the conference. Apple engineers and experts will also participate in discussions through the Apple Developer Forums to answer questions related to development tools and technologies.
In conjunction with WWDC26, Apple announced 36 finalists for this year’s Apple Design Awards, which recognize achievement in categories including Delight and Fun, Inclusivity, Innovation, Interaction, Social Impact, and Visuals and Graphics – winners will be announced in the coming weeks. Finally, Apple also highlighted its Swift Student Challenge program, which recognised 350 student winners this year, including 50 Distinguished Winners who have been invited to Cupertino for a three-day experience during WWDC week. The company also confirmed that more than 1,000 developers, designers, and students will attend an in-person event at Apple Park on 8 June.
