Google Donates Over RM460,000 To Aid Flood Victims

Google has recently lend their help to the victims of the flash floods in the country with technology, collaboration, and donation drives.

As part of their crisis response efforts, they’ve activated their SOS alerts to help impacted communities and their loved ones gain access to trusted safety information across Search and Maps.

For the monetary aid, they’ve said that a RM420,800 grant will be made to the Center for Disaster Philanthropy (CDP), an intermediary organization that distributes donations to nonprofits that works to support relief and recovery efforts.

They’ve also held an internal employee donation campaign where Google employees donate to Mercy Malaysia, specifically RM40,000.
