Sony has expanded its ULT POWER SOUND lineup in Malaysia with the introduction of the ULT FIELD 5, ULT FIELD 3, and ULTMIC1 wireless microphones. The release is part of the company’s “For The Music” campaign, which also marks the beginning of a new global brand collaboration with artist Post Malone.
New Sony ULT FIELD Speakers

First up is the ULT FIELD 5 speaker, which features the same ULT button you’ll find in other Sony ULT products that kicks the bass up a notch, though in this case there are two profiles to choose from. The first “ULT1” profile boosts the low frequency bass, while the “ULT2” profile focuses on the punchier part of the bass range.
Besides that, you’ll get up to 25 hours of battery life through a single full charge. It includes a detachable shoulder strap, IP66 ingress protection with saltwater resistance and a 360-degree lighting system. The speaker also features a USB charging port, along with connectivity features such as Party Connect, Multipoint Connection, and Bluetooth Fast Pair. It’ll be available in two colors: Black and Off White.

The ULT FIELD 3 offers similar bass-focused audio in a smaller form factor with up to 24 hours of usage, though there are some minor differences: a slightly better water resistance rating (IP67), no ambient lighting, a single ULT POWER SOUND button for extra bass, along with an additional color option, Forest Grey.

Sony also introduced the ULTMIC1 wireless microphones (which comes with two units) designed to integrate with the ULT POWER SOUND series by connecting the wireless dongle that plugs into the microphone jack. It features built-in silicone dampener to help reduce the impact of accidental drops, and it’s rated for 20 hours of battery life on a single charge (or 2 hours via a 10 minute charge).
The ULT FIELD 3 and ULTMIC1 are available now in Malaysia, priced at RM899 and RM799 respectively. The ULT FIELD 5 will be available starting 7 July 2025 at RM1,499.
Pokdepinion: The ULT FIELD 5 is quite a lot bigger than I expect from the pictures alone.
