Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 05 is set to launch on 24 July, bringing one of the largest content updates thus far across Multiplayer, Zombies, Warzone, and Endgame modes. This season introduces new maps, four new weapons, a fresh Battle Pass, and a host of limited-time modes across every game mode.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 05 – Multiplayer & Zombies

Multiplayer launches with three maps at the start of Season 05. The brand-new Jubilee map drops players into a rural Japanese festival setting, while remastered versions of fan favorites Dig and Frequency return to the map rotation. The Turbo Tilt map will be available by mid-season, where players get dropped into a giant Nuketown pinball machine (or rather, players get miniaturized?), alongside a new Freerun parkour map called Descent.
New Multiplayer modes include Overdrive Domination, where players power up their Operator while capturing objectives, and Gauntlet Rush, which cycles through five different game modes in a single match; meanwhile, Cranked Moshpit is set to arrive at mid-season. Ranked Play also continues into Season 05, with new rewards up for grabs for competitive players who climb the divisions.

The Zombies mode welcomes the Eidskallen Lighthouse Survival map, set in a frozen environment and confined to a section of the Totenreich area. Directed Mode comes to Kowakujō for players seeking extra guidance through the Main Quest, alongside a Starting Room playlist. Three new Rogue Run playlists featuring Astra Malorum offer increasingly difficult wave-based challenges with Calling Card and GobbleGum rewards.
Mid-season brings the conclusion of the Black Ops 7 Zombies story, with a final confrontation against the Warden. A new Perk-a-Cola, additional GobbleGum, and two Ultra-Rarity legacy weapons will also be added to support players heading into the finale.
Call of Duty: Warzone – New Verdansk POI & Weapon Updates

Onto the free-to-play counterpart, Call of Duty: Warzone’s Season 05 update adds the Drone Labs point of interest to Verdansk map, located south of the Quarry – the area features two large L-shaped buildings housing Administrative Offices and a Research and Development facility, along with a drone obstacle course. There’s limited-time modes such as Lockdown Casual, which features random killstreak rewards like the Juggernaut and War Machine, as well as Heavy Metal Heroes that focuses on squad-based vehicular combat.
New gameplay features include the Juggernaut Public Event, airborne Loot Drones and Buy Stations that can be shot down for extra gear, and the Hunter Killer Drone killstreak arriving in both Resurgence and Battle Royale. A new season of Resurgence Ranked Play also launches with Season 05, with new rewards available.

Four new weapons arrive across all modes: the FG42 assault rifle and dual-wield Gremlin SMG are available at launch via the Battle Pass; the Mammoth LMG and Mace Melee weapon can be unlocked through in-game events and Weekly Challenges. You’ll also find new attachments in this update, including the Jager 45 Grid-Breaker Kit, M34 Novaline Garand Conversion, and M15 Mod 0 .50 Cal Kit.
The Season 05 Battle Pass is headlined by Operator Spectre, with free and premium tiers offering Weapon Blueprints, Operator Skins, Calling Cards, Finishing Moves, and Emotes. BlackCell purchasers receive the exclusive Cipher Operator and a Mastercraft Weapon Blueprint, both with additional variants unlockable through in-game challenges. Over 40 Weapon Camos are also earnable across the full season.

For the Endgame mode, the new Burn Run Assignment is a timed race where players drive a bomb-rigged vehicle and must run over enemies and objects to extend the countdown. A new Ability Boosts system also arrives, allowing further customization of Major and Minor Operator Abilities with upgrades to cooldowns, ammo capacity, and damage types. Ability Boosts drop primarily in Nightmare zones. Keep in mind – Season 05 is also the final season for free Endgame access before the mode moves behind a paywall.
Pokdepinion: There’s quite some amount of new content that doesn’t involve guns, in a game that’s about guns (we think).
