Razer has officially announced the Razer Tartarus V2 Pro gaming keypad, being the first in the series to feature Razer’s Analog Optical Switch Gen-2 technology and true 8000 Hz HyperPolling found on its esports keyboard lineup.

At the heart of Razer Tartarus V2 Pro is the Razer Analog Optical Switch Gen-2 found on Razer’s Huntsman line of analog keyboards, which offers a fully adjustable actuation range of 0.1 to 4.0mm and Rapid Trigger sensitivity down to 0.1mm for ultra-fast repeated inputs. Each switch is individually lubricated and seated in a dense foam layer, with a rated lifespan of 100 million keystrokes.
The keypad provides 31 programmable controls in total, giving players enough mappable inputs to cover a full ability bar, macro set, or genre-specific loadout from a single device; each of them feature doubleshot PBT keycaps for durability. A full-sized anti-drift TMR thumbstick – sourced from Razer’s controller lineup – is also included alongside three dedicated buttons.
Razer has also rethought the wrist rest on the Tartarus V2 Pro: rather than a fixed position, the wrist rest slides out and rotates left and right, allowing each player to find a natural angle suited to their hand. This should help reduce users’ wrist fatigue during long gaming sessions.
Besides 8000 Hz HyperPolling, you’ll find Razer’s Advanced Input Control suite, including Snap Tap, Snap Flex, and Dynamic Keystroke for advanced keybinds and execution combos. Players can configure up to 24 keymaps across 3 onboard profiles using Razer Synapse, with on-the-fly actuation and Rapid Trigger adjustments accessible directly on the device via an onboard LED array, no software required.
