JETOUR Malaysia officially launched the JETOUR T2 i-DM plug-in hybrid SUV, which pairs a 1.5L TGDi engine with a 3-speed dedicated hybrid transmission and a dual motor electric system for a combined output of 265kW (360PS) and 610Nm, plus up to 1,200km of combined range with more than 100km of pure electric range.

JETOUR’s Intelligent Dual-Mode (i-DM) system switches between electric and hybrid power across five operating scenarios: EV Drive for residential and low-speed driving, Series Hybrid for urban traffic, Dual Power Boost for overtaking and hill climbing, Parallel Hybrid for highway cruising, and Regenerative Braking to recover energy while braking and going downhill.
Power comes from an 18.4 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery with IP68 water and dust protection, a high-strength casing with underbody protection, high-temperature resistance and rapid high-voltage power cut-off. Besides offering supplementary motive force, the battery also supports up to 3.3kW Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) output for external devices. DC fast charging at up to 57kW takes the battery from 30% to 80% state of charge in 27 minutes or less, whereas a 6.6kW AC wallbox charges from 30% to 100% in three hours, while a 2.2kW portable AC charger needs six hours or less.
The T2’s exterior keeps the boxy, adventure-oriented look – notable features include auto LED headlamps with a JETOUR signature wordlight, 20-inch Trailblazer alloy wheels, door mirror reversing mode, and a rear-mounted spare tire with an electric suction back door. Inside, the cabin has a 15.6-inch multimedia display with a dedicated hybrid interface, a Sony 12-speaker audio system and a 50W wireless charger. Comfort features include front memory seats with a welcome function, front ventilated seats, an illuminated crystal gear knob, an auto-dimming rear view mirror and multi-color ambient lighting.
Driver assistance is rated at Level 2 Advanced Driving Assistance System (ADAS), covering Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Lane Assist Intervention (LAI), Blind Spot Detection (BSD), Integrated Cruise Assist (ICA), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) and Intelligent High Beam (IHB). Other safety equipment includes a high-strength steel body structure, six SRS airbags, a panoramic view monitoring system and tire pressure monitoring.
The JETOUR T2 i-DM is priced at RM162,800 – warranty coverage includes 7 years or 150,000km for the vehicle, 8 years or 160,000km for the high-voltage battery, and 10 years or 1,000,000km for the engine, plus five free service sessions, whichever comes first.
