Anime fans in Malaysia can now subscribe to Crunchyroll directly through the PlayStation Store on PS5 and PS4, without needing to leave their consoles. The integration allows users to discover, subscribe to, and watch anime content straight from the PlayStation Media Hub.
Crunchyroll On PlayStation Store
Two membership tiers are available through this channel. The Mega Fan membership is priced at RM14.90/month and is purchasable directly through the PlayStation Store on PS5 or PS4. It includes ad-free viewing, offline downloads on supported devices, streaming on up to four devices simultaneously, and access to Crunchyroll Game Vault, a collection of over 100 anime-inspired mobile games included with the membership.
The Fan membership, priced at RM12.90/month, is available via QR-code sign-up and provides access to the anime streaming service’s library on a single device. Both membership tiers are linked to Crunchyroll subscriber accounts, allowing access across PlayStation and other supported devices.
Malaysian subscribers have several titles to look forward to this quarter – Black Clover Season 2 is available with English subtitles, alongside Overgeared and PSYREN. The PlayStation Store integration builds on Crunchyroll’s broader efforts to expand anime accessibility in Malaysia, with its growing catalogue including new and returning series with a range of language options, catering to Malaysia’s multilingual anime community.
Pokdepinion: That’s another streaming service on the list for the consoles.
