Dell has introduced two new webcams targeting hybrid work professionals, comprising the Dell Pro 7 Webcam 4K (WB726) and Dell Pro 5 Webcam 2K (WB526). Both models follow the existing Dell Pro 3 Webcam 2K (WB3023) to complete the company’s webcam lineup.
Dell Pro 7 Webcam 4K & Dell Pro 5 Webcam 2K
The Dell Pro 7 Webcam 4K is powered by a Sony Starvis sensor with 4K 60FPS capture, along with an “AI-driven image signal processor” – in other words, not too far off what you’ll find in smartphone cameras. The onboard microphone is capable of focusing on specific subject’s voice within its active field of view. The webcam also supports presence sensing with Windows Hello, automatically signing users in upon approach and locking the PC when they step away.
For the cheaper option, the Dell Pro 5 Webcam 2K comes equipped with a Sony sensor that captures QHD resolution, and like the Dell Pro 7, it has built-in Windows Hello for facial recognition login, along with Kensington lock-compatible metal loop for physical security in shared workspaces.
Both models feature “AI-enhancing imaging” that adjusts for lighting conditions, skin tone accuracy, and subject framing in real time; Dell also mentioned “intelligent collaboration tools” such as Document View and Gesture Control designed for presenting physical documents and zooming on specific objects during calls.
The Dell Pro 7 Webcam 4K is expected to be available in Malaysia soon, priced at RM1,054, while the Dell Pro 5 Webcam 2K is available in Malaysia now at RM672.
Pokdepinion: Pretty compact, too – some high-end webcams that I know of take quite a bit of space.
