New Acer Nitro 5 Powered by AMD Ryzen 5000 Series Launched
Acer Malaysia recently held a Zero to Nitro virtual launch event, which saw the arrival of the new Acer Nitro 5 gaming laptop powered by AMD Ryzen 5000-series CPU. Here’s everything that you need to know.
Acer Nitro 5 Powered by AMD Ryzen 5000
The new Acer Nitro 5 is powered by the AMD Ryzen 5000-series CPU, consisting of the Ryzen 5 5600H, Ryzen 7 5800H, and Ryzen 9 5900HX. As for GPU, consumers will have four different options; NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 4GB, GeForce RTX 3060 6GB, GeForce RTX 3070 8GB, and GeForce RTX 3080 8GB.
As for memory, you can opt for either 8GB or 16GB DDR4 3200MHz RAM that’s upgradable to dual-channel 32GB DDR4 3200MHz RAM, and a up to 1TB NVMe PCIe SSD. In case that’s not enough storage for you, it does have an additional HDD slot free with an HDD upgrade kit included inside the box.
Apart from that, you have Intel Wi-Fi 6 support, Bluetooth 5.0, Killer Ethernet E2600, and an abundance of ports including one that supports power-off charging, essentially making this laptop an emergency powerbank. If you want an easier look into the specifications, check it out right below here:

The new Acer Nitro 5 will be retailing from RM3,699 to RM8,999 depending on your selected configuration. It will also come with 2 years local warranty with first year international warranty.
The first phase of pre-orders will be solely for the GeForce GTX variants and it will open on the official Shopee store as well as the Acer e-store starting 14th April 2021, and on Lazada starting 15th April until 16th April 2021. To further sweeten the deal, you can get RM100 off when you pre-order the gaming laptop, and there will be some free gifts tossed your way as well.

The Acer Nitro QG241Y P gaming monitor will be retailing for RM749 but it will be available for a special promo price of RM699 if you purchase it between 14th April and 16th April 2021.
Pokdepinion: Not gonna lie, I’m surprised the price of the Acer Nitro 5 can go that high but given the parts that are powering it for the top of the line configuration, I can understand why. The Ryzen 7 5800H with GeForce RTX 3060 / RTX3070 definitely has the best value in my opinion.
