Acer Malaysia today has unveiled its latest gaming laptop in the form of the Predator Helios Neo 14, the smallest member of the Helios Neo lineup. Despite its small size, Acer claims the laptop is capable of operating a full 255 watts of combined system power, split between the Intel Core Ultra 9 185H and the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Laptop GPU.

The display panel used for this laptop features a rather unusual resolution of 3072 x 1920 (though the aspect ratio is still 16:10), with 165Hz panel refresh rate, a bog-standard 100% sRGB coverage, and NVIDIA G-SYNC support. On the cooling side, Acer extends the application of liquid metal interface to both CPU and heat pipes, allowing the heat to be more easily carried to be dissipated via a pair of 5th Gen AeroBlade 3D fans.

Since this is a laptop introduced in 2024, you guessed it – AI is making itself known on this laptop as well. Acer says all the AI-related features are grouped into the PredatorSense app, the same app that you’d use to adjust lighting effects and monitor system performance. Elsewhere on the laptop, you can find a single Thunderbolt 4 port, a microSD card reader, and Wi-Fi 6E connectivity courtesy of the Intel Killer chip.

Pokdepinion: My first impressions – aside from the Copilot key getting in the way, the keyboard feels very nice to type on.
