As the name implies, this is a 16-inch laptop which sports a conventional LCD panel that comes with 16:10 aspect ratio – a common standard in modern productivity based laptops. The display, at 86% screen-to-body ratio, runs on FHD+ resolution (1920 x 1200), peaking at 300 nits, with TUV Rheinland low blue-light certification for improved eye comfort over long viewing sessions.

In the performance department comes with AMD’s Ryzen 5 5600H, a six-core processor cooled by ASUS’s IceCool cooling solution which is capable of pushing the CPU up to 45 watts. It is also coupled with 8GB of RAM and 512GB SSD – additional RAM slot is available for future RAM expansion down the line. Aside from the capable CPU, the laptop comes with other creature comforts such as physical webcam shutter, full-size keyboard, fingerprint sensor, and ASUS Antibacterial Guard which minimizes potential pathogen transmissions.

The I/O ports consists of a single USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, a USB 2.0 port, HDMI output and headphone jack – charging is done through traditional barrel adapter with 90W fast charging. Two chassis colors are available – Transparent Silver and Quiet Blue.

Priced at RM2,999 – this laptop is available starting today at ASUS official stores and retailers, with both color options.

Specifications:

CPU AMD Ryzen 5 5600H (6 cores, 12 threads)

Pokdepinion: I wouldn’t mind the display comes with either higher resolution or OLED panel instead of this FHD+ panel actually, given the existence of its sister model 15X OLED.
