New Dell Inspiron 2021 Laptops Come in Both Intel Core and AMD Ryzen Options

Apart from their recent gaming lineup, we now have a new lineup of Dell Inspiron consumer laptops designed for those need one for learning, work, fun, and anywhere in between with portability in mind. All of the new laptops are said to use low VOC waterborne paint, 100% recycled paper for the packaging, and 90% recycled material for other packaging components. Without further ado, let’s dive right into it.

Dell Inspiron 14 and 15  

The Dell Inspiron 14 and 15 are 14-inch and 15-inch ultraportable productivity laptops with easy-to-use technology designed to simplify your daily life. It includes adaptive thermals to manage power consumption and ensure the machine is running optimally, Lid-open sensor so you can power on the laptop in a snap, optional fingerprint reader with Windows Hello for secure access with convenience, and ExpressCharge so you don’t have to be glued to a wall outlet for long.

From what we know thus far, consumers will have the option of an 11th Gen Intel Core CPU and an AMD Ryzen 5000-series CPU, 8GB DDR4 RAM (upgradable to 32GB dual-channel), up to 1TB NVMe PCIe SSD storage, and Wi-Fi 6 support. The i5 and i7 variant will have an NVIDIA GeForce MX450 dGPU. The display will be in Full HD resolution.

Both Dell Inspiron 14 and 15 laptops will be available in Malaysia starting mid-April 2021, with retail prices expected to be announced a little later. The Inspiron 15 with Intel Core H-series CPU will be coming early June 2021 instead. It will also come with Dell Premium Support Plus, which offers 24/7 phone support, automated issue detection, virus removal, automated PC optimization, onsite support and remote diagnosis.

Dell Inspiron 16 Plus

The Dell Inspiron 16 Plus is a rather interesting laptop as it’s a new 16-inch form factor with 16:10 aspect ratio. You get about 11% more screen real estate while the laptop only has an increased dimension of roughly 5% to maintain its portability. Apart from that, it’s a ComfortView Plus display with 300 nits brightness, low blue light filter, and 3K resolution (3072 x 1920).

It’s also packed with quite a bit of firepower given that it comes with the 11th Gen Intel Core H-series CPU, optional NVIDIA GeForce GTX or RTX GPU, and a robust thermal management system. As for memory, you can get up to 2TB NVMe PCIe SSD and up to 32GB DDR4 3200MHz dual-channel RAM. To power it all up, consumers can choose between a 3-cell 56Whr battery or a beefier 6-cell 86Whr battery.

The Dell Inspiron 16 Plus will be available in Malaysia sometime in early June 2021 with retail prices expected to be announced at a later date. It will also come with Dell Premium Support Plus, which offers 24/7 phone support, automated issue detection, virus removal, automated PC optimization, onsite support and remote diagnosis.

Dell Inspiron 14 2-in-1

If you need that added touch of versatility in your laptop, then look no further than the Dell Inspiron 14 2-in-1. You get the functionality of a laptop with the portability of a tablet as you can switch between laptop, tent, stand, and tablet modes. It uses a 14-inch Full HD Truelife Touch Narrow Bezel display.

Interestingly, it’s powered by the AMD Ryzen CPU, up to a Ryzen 7 5700U with Radeon Graphics, and can be configured with up to 16GB dual-channel DDR4 3200MHz RAM, 2TB NVMe PCIe SSD, and up to 4-cell 54Whr integrated battery. Users can easily juice up the laptop with its 65W USB-C charger.

The Dell Inspiron 14 2-in-1 will be available in Malaysia sometime in mid-April 2021 with retail prices expected to be announced at a later date. There are two available colours for this model; Pebble Green and Mist Blue. Pokdepinion: I am very keen to try out the Dell Inspiron 16 Plus given how unique it is. It’s like a breath of fresh air in a sea of consumer laptops built on components that would be reserved for high performance laptops. If the battery life is good, this might just be the perfect everyday laptop unless someone wants something smaller.
