Surface Laptop 4 with 11th Gen Intel or AMD Ryzen 4000 now available from RM4599
The latest Microsoft Surface Laptop 4 are now available in Malaysia. Priced from RM4599, the Surface Laptop 4 offer the renowned iconic design and choice materials with updated hardware under the hood to deliver a better user experience. The 13.5″ and 15″ models are both available in Malaysia.
Surface Laptop 4 now with 11th Gen Tiger Lake or Ryzen 4000 CPUs
You can now get the Surface Laptop 4 with the latest processors in both 13.5″ and 15″ models. Previously with the Surface Laptop 3, you had to choose between AMD in the 15″ models, and Intel in the 13.5″ models. And while the Ryzen 4000 processors aren’t exactly the latest in AMD’s lineup, Microsoft worked with AMD to optimize the user experience with the AMD Ryzen Mobile Processors with Radeon Graphics Microsoft Surface Edition. Yes, it’s a mouthful.
Aside from the AMD models offering more cores, Microsoft promises better battery life on the AMD Ryzen laptops too, as compared to the 11th Gen Tiger Lake variants. The AMD Ryzen 5 version of the Surface Laptop 4 13.5″ is rated for 19 hours, while the Intel Core i5 variant is pegged at 17 hours. Meanwhile the Surface Laptop 4 15″ will get you up to 17.5 hours if you get the AMD Ryzen 7 version, or 16.5 hours if you go with the Intel Core i7 version.
Aside from the updated processors that promise significantly longer battery life, much of the Microsoft Surface Laptop 4 is similar to its predecessor. You get the same expansive 3:2 aspect ratio, and pretty much the same design. You do get more colors to choose from, so I guess it will still keep some people happy.

Surface accessories to up your WFH game
Aside from the new laptops, Microsoft Malaysia also announced four new Surface accessories here, priced from RM239.80. They are the Microsoft Modern USB (RM239.80) and Modern Wireless (RM508) headsets, Modern USB-C Speaker (RM508) and Modern Webcam (RM318). All of these are Microsoft Teams certified to deliver a great video conferencing experience.
Pokdepinion: I do wonder how will the Surface Laptop 4 with their customized AMD Ryzen 4000 series stack up against the Ryzen 5000 laptops in the market now.
