HONOR participated as an official parade contingent during Malaysia’s National Day celebration in Putrajaya on 31 August 2026, which featured its humanoid robot from HONOR Robotics; during the event, the D1 robot held an unannounced HONOR X9e Pro in a dark purple finish, providing spectators with an initial look at its upcoming budget smartphone.

The HONOR X9e is set to serve as the next addition to the brand’s X Series lineup – HONOR indicated that the upcoming smartphone will feature updates built upon the durability standards of previous models, though complete technical specifications and hardware details remain undisclosed at this time. No word on the release timing either, but it should be pretty soon if the smartphone maker is willing to show it to the public.
Alongside the parade, HONOR hosted interactive consumer activities at Dataran Putrajaya. The brand showcased its current product ecosystem and featured a durability demonstration named the HONOR Magic V6 Strongman Challenge, involving participants testing their physical strength on a pull-up bar while simultaneously evaluating the structural integrity of the foldable device’s hinge mechanism under weight.
Following the parade, the HONOR Robotics D1 received an Asia Records certification for being the first humanoid robot to complete a 10km public road run and march in a national day parade. The record follows the robot’s participation in the Malaysia Marathon 2026 in Kuala Lumpur on the day before, passing landmarks including the KL Tower, Dataran Merdeka, and the Petronas Twin Towers.
