[UPDATE] POCO F2 Pro announced in Malaysia for RM2199

The POCO F2 Pro has just been announced here in Malaysia. Priced from RM2199, the POCO F2 Pro is now officially the most affordable Snapdragon 865 smartphone available in Malaysia. It is also the first smartphone to sport UFS 3.1 in Malaysia, which is quite an interesting achievement for a brand that debuted as a way to get a flagship chipset at a mid-range’s price point.

All of that is cooled by a large 3435mm² vapor chamber cooling system. Meanwhile keeping the lights on is an equally humongous 4700 mAh battery that supports 30W charging to juice up your battery quickly. In addition to the top-notch innards, the POCO F2 Pro also serves up a 64MP Sony IMX686 primary rear camera paired with a 5MP telephoto macro camera and a 13MP ultra-wide angle camera. And the selfie camera is installed on a popup module, allowing the POCO F2 Pro to offer a notchless, punch hole-less display.

The display is the main part where the POCO F2 Pro doesn’t really keep up with the 2020 flagships though. Most 2020 flagships today sport high refresh rate displays, but the POCO F2 Pro only sports a 60 Hz OLED panel. It’s still a huge upgrade over the POCOPHONE F1 though, which came with a lackluster LCD display. Well, at least it is unblemished by a selfie camera.
