Roblox has appointed Joel Neoh as Managing Director for Southeast Asia and Oceania, naming the veteran entrepreneur as the platform’s senior business lead across both regions. Neoh joined Roblox in October 2026 and will oversee the company’s strategy in SEA and Oceania, working with local teams and partners to grow its presence, foster creator partnerships, and align global product priorities with regional market demands.
Joel Neoh’s Role At Roblox
A core focus of Neoh’s role will be championing the growing community of Roblox developers and creators, helping local studios use Roblox’s tools to scale and achieve commercial success. He will also work to familiarize players and parents in the region with the platform, and engage with regulators and local communities on online safety. Roblox sees Southeast Asia and Oceania as a significant long-term growth opportunity, citing the region’s young, digitally native population and a rapidly evolving digital ecosystem.
Zhen Fang, VP of International at Roblox, noted that Southeast Asia and Oceania are important regions for Roblox within APAC, home to a vibrant and fast-growing community of creators and players. He added that Joel’s entrepreneurial experience and strong ties to the local tech ecosystem make him the right leader for the next phase of Roblox’s growth across both regions.
Neoh brings two decades of experience founding, building, and scaling technology companies across Asia Pacific, spanning digital media, e-commerce, fintech, consumer health and AI. He founded GroupsMore in Malaysia, which merged with Groupon ahead of its IPO, and went on to lead Groupon Asia Pacific. He later founded Fave, a Southeast Asian fintech and consumer payments platform that scaled to over 10 million users before its acquisition by Pine Labs in 2021.
Most recently, Neoh served as Managing Director at Prenetics, leading its consumer health businesses. He has also backed more than 50 startups across Asia, particularly in consumer technology, and is a Founding Partner of First Move, an early-stage venture capital platform supporting entrepreneurs across Southeast Asia.
On 31 October 2026, Roblox will bring together creators from across Southeast Asia at the Roblox Creator Series SEA in Bangkok.
