Redmi 12C Now Available In Malaysia, From RM599
Xiaomi’s budget sub-brand touts the 12C as one of the most powerful smartphone at this price range.
Xiaomi has announced the release of the Redmi 12C, a new entry-level smartphone powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 processor and can support up to 6+5GB of extended LPDDR4X RAM and 1TB of microSD expansion. The phone is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery which should last a full day in most cases, but the charging port uses the old Micro-USB port and not the USB-C that’s common in most phones, which is a bummer. Though you do get 10W charging for which Redmi says it’s “fast charging”, so there’s that.
The Redmi 12C has a 6.71″ HD+ 60Hz display and a 20.6:9 aspect ratio; on the camera front, the Redmi 12C boasts a 50MP main camera with HDR and Night Mode, and sitting inside the rear camera bump is the rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. Front camera is a 5MP sensor housed inside a teardrop notch – both sides support up to 1080p 30FPS video recording.
The phone comes in four colors: Graphic Grey, Ocean Blue, Mint Green, and Lavender Purple, and will be available in two variants – 4GB+128GB (RM599) and 6GB+128GB (RM699). Sales will go live on March 16 – customers can purchase the Redmi 12C from Authorized Xiaomi Stores and other official retailers, as well as official online stores on Lazada and Shopee. Pre-orders start from March 9, for a limited time, customers who purchase the device will receive a free Redmi Buds 4 Lite (worth RM139), while stocks last.
Pokdepinion: For the price the specs are decent, plus the TWS gift too – if you chose to preorder.
