Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 and Z Flip5 Leaked on Geekbench
The US models of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 and Galaxy Z Flip5 are set to feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy chipset, according to Geekbench listings.
Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold5 and Galaxy Z Flip5 to Feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 2?
Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Fold5 and Galaxy Z Flip5 have made an appearance in a pair of Geekbench listings, revealing some of their specifications. Both models will feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy chipsets, which offer slightly overclocked CPU and GPU cores compared to the regular SD 8 Gen 2 chipset.
According to the listings, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 (SM-F946U) achieved 2,030 points on the single-core test and 5,213 points in the multi-core test, which are slightly higher than the Galaxy S23 series phones. Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 (SM-F731U) shares the same chipset as the Galaxy Z Fold5 and also achieved 2,030 single-core points and a 5,213 multi-core score.
The Galaxy Z Flip5 comes equipped with 8GB of RAM, while the Galaxy Z Fold5 is expected to come with at least 12GB of RAM. Both devices will boot Android 13 out of the box.
While the Geekbench listings don’t reveal much about the upcoming foldable smartphones, they do confirm that both devices will be powered by high-end Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy chipsets. The next crop of Samsung foldables is expected to debut in August, and fans are eagerly waiting for more information on these exciting devices.
Pokdepinion: Aside from memory configurations, it’s likely going to be the same globally given past trends. This time, I’m a lot more excited for the Flip, and I can’t wait to try it out.
