There are a lot of things to consider when buying a new smartphone, but one factor that has grown in significance over the years is the camera. In the midrange lineup, the vivo V27 is one that stands out prominently, and we’re going to tell you why.

vivo V27 Camera Specialties

The vivo V27 brings quite a bit to the table for its camera prowess. The first notable one is the vivo-exclusive Aura Light feature, which differs from your standard flash in other devices. Essentially, it’s a lighting technique which results in a softer and more balanced out flash for a better overall picture. This allows the subject to stand out more with brighter, more vivid details.

It works great for selfies as well, giving you pictures with a more balanced lighting for a natural-looking photo. You can make out some of the more minute details on the face that would typically be lacking in other devices, like the stubble on the man above.

Then, we have the ultra-sensing 50MP Sony IMX766V camera, which is a sensor typically reserved for flagship models. With a larger 1./1.56-inch size and f/1.7 aperture, it can capture more light which results in brighter photos even in low light environments. To further aid in night shots, OIS ensures the stability of the camera so you don’t have to worry about getting fuzzy, shaky pictures no matter what.

Combining the powerful sensor and Aura Light with portrait mode, and you get to enjoy those crispy bokeh shots with a more natural look. As many of you may know, portrait shots require more lighting to get a good separation of the subject and background but the vivo V27 can easily do that even at night with Low Light Portrait.

Eye-Catching Design

I’m sure we’ve had the issue of looking at our own smartphones and, at some point, being bored of the same colour. What if you could change that? With the vivo V27 Emerald Green, it comes with the industry-first Colour Changing finish which, as the name implies, allow you to change the rear colour of the smartphone for a more refreshing look. This is made possible as it’s built using Fluorite AG Glass technology, and it can change from the lighter green colour to a darker, more articulate green when exposed to UV light.

Of course, you do have another colour option available. Apart from Emerald Green, you also have another two dazzling colours to choose from; Noble Black and Flowing Gold.

It also boasts the thinnest 3D curved display in the company’s history, and this comes without the cost of sacrificing its visual performance in any way since it still has that buttery smooth 120Hz refresh rate. In fact, you can see from the picture above how absurdly thin it is compared to your average coin.

Performance That Packs A Punch

To have a smartphone that looks good is one thing but most of us would definitely want one that can perform just as well. For starters, the vivo V27 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 SoC, a 4nm chipset. Typically, 4nm chipsets are reserved for flagship smartphones but now, even a midranger like this can enjoy it as a smaller chipset would allow for less heat and more energy efficiency which ultimately leads to a better battery life.

Speaking of battery, the vivo V27 takes less than an hour to be fully charged. In fact, a mere 19 minute charge can give you at least a half battery charge, which is a pretty admirable figure given the short time. This is all made possible thanks to the included 66W FlashCharge that comes inside the box, and yes, it certainly does come with a charger.

For those of you wondering about the storage configuration, you can get up to 12GBs of RAM and 256GB of storage, giving you plenty of memory to make use of. In fact, the 12GB RAM can be further boosted with the use of virtual memory, allowing you to have up to 36 active apps in the background and it will still be running smoothly.
