The upcoming vivo X Fold2 foldable flagship smartphone was recently spotted on Geekbench with some impressive specs. It is expected to launch in China on April 20, along with the X Flip and Pad 2.

vivo’s upcoming foldable flagship, the X Fold2, has been spotted on Geekbench with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and 12GB of RAM, providing further confirmation that the device will feature Qualcomm’s latest processor. The X Fold2 is set to launch in China on April 20th alongside the X Flip and Pad 2, but there’s no word yet on whether the device will be released in other parts of the world.

The vivo X Fold2 is expected to feature an 8.03-inch foldable E6 AMOLED display on the inside and a 6.53-inch E6 AMOLED display on the outside/cover, both with a fingerprint scanner underneath. The device’s cameras will include a 50MP IMX866 primary unit, a pair of 12MP IMX663 sensors for the ultrawide and 2x zoom, and two 32MP cameras for selfies on each display.

The X Fold2 is reported to be powered by a 4,800mAh battery with support for 120W wired and 50W wireless charging. Additionally, the device is expected to be 10% lighter than its predecessor, thanks to an updated hinge.

Although we now have more information about the vivo X Fold2’s specs, it’s worth noting that plans could still change as the device is still several months away from its official launch. Nonetheless, the X Fold2 looks like it could be a promising device for those who are interested in foldable smartphones. Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to the launch date.

Pokdepinion: Like I mentioned before, it looks like a solid foldable smartphone, but it all boils down to software. If the UI and apps can take better advantage of the added screen real estate, you’ll have yourself a winner.
