As you can see here, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series will be powered by the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, which means there will be no Exynos variant, at least not for now. It will also come bundles with a new S Pen, which is said to be fastest in terms of input latency for a more natural writing / drawing experience.
The display on the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series will be 11-inches, 12.7 inches, and 14.6 inches for the base, Plus, and Ultra variants. While the latter two will enjoy AMOLED display, the entry-level tablet will instead use LCD display so the colours will not be as impressive.
Moving on to battery, it should be more than adequate as the capacity for the base, Plus, and Ultra variants are listed with 8,000mAh, 10,090mAh, and 11,200mAh respectively. We should learn more about the battery life as the launch draws near.
It’s worth noting that the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is the only one to have a notch on the front, which houses the front-facing camera. This may be rather controversial for a lot of people but it’s said to be done out of necessity as that camera will have strong video capabilities.
As for storage, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 and Tab S8 Plus will have the option of 128GB and 256GB while the range-topping Tab S8 Ultra will have a whopping 512GB storage. All of them are expected to be UFS 3.1 and if that’s not enough, you can further expand it via microSD.
Keep in mind that there is a chance of stock being low due to the ongoing global chip supply shortage so if you want one, you might want to consider pre-ordering it as soon as possible. These details have yet to be officially confirmed so take them with a grain of salt for now. We will report more on this as soon as information becomes available so stay tuned.
Pokdepinion: That Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra looks like much more proper laptop replacement, but I’m sure not how to feel about using a tablet of that size. Oh well, only one way to find out.
