The Garena Qualifier for the Call of Duty: Mobile World Championship 2026 begins on 9 August, bringing together ten teams competing for two places at the World Championship Finals in Mexico City, scheduled for 4 to 6 December. This year’s Finals will mark the tournament’s first appearance in Mexico. The qualifier, running from 9 to 30 August, features a $20,000 prize pool.
Garena representatives ELEVATE and Stalwarts Esports finished second and third respectively at last year’s World Championship in Katowice, Poland, and this year’s qualifier offers regional teams another opportunity to advance to the global finals.
Call of Duty: Mobile World Championship 2026 Garena Qualifier

The ten participating teams qualified through regional competitions. Vizualz Esports and EL Tantrum qualified as champion and runner-up of Indonesia’s Major Series 2026. Rival Esports and Vizualz SKAERI secured places through Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines’ Garena Masters 11, after champion Alula SC and runner-up ELEVATE had already qualified via the Garena Summer Invitational 2026.
ChangeWorld and WUDAO qualified through Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau’s Major Six World Championship Qualifier, while As Soon As Possible and Freeslot advanced through Thailand’s Legendary All-In 2026. ELEVATE and Alula SC also secured places as champion and runner-up of the Garena Summer Invitational 2026. Rival Esports, ELEVATE, Alula SC and Vizualz SKAERI represent the Singapore, Malaysia and Philippines region. Six teams have direct entry into the Group Stage, while four teams begin in the Play-In Stage.
The tournament follows a three-stage format: the Play-In Stage – commencing today – features EL Tantrum, Rival Esports, Vizualz SKAERI, WUDAO and Freeslot competing in a double-elimination best-of-five bracket for the final two Group Stage places. The Group Stage runs from 13 to 23 August, with eight teams competing in a round-robin best-of-five format, with the top four advancing to the Playoffs. The Playoffs, held on 29 and 30 August, feature a double-elimination bracket with best-of-five matches, concluding in a best-of-seven Grand Final that determines the region’s two World Championship representatives.
Terminator 2: Judgment Day Tie-In, New Garena-Exclusive Event

Separately, Call of Duty: Mobile launched Season 7, titled “Terminated,” on 6 August, featuring a collaboration with the film Terminator 2: Judgment Day. The season introduces a themed event allowing players to complete daily tasks to earn an in-game currency called Cyberdyne Tech, which can be used to unlock more than 15 collaboration rewards, including weapon camouflages and an Operator Skin based on an Endoskeleton character.
The season also includes an offer allowing players to unlock both T-800 and T-1000 Operator Skins, which upgrades in quality and grants the ability to switch between the two character forms during matches. The collaboration includes two weapon blueprints with reactive visual elements.

Garena servers will also feature three regional in-game events inspired by supernatural folklore. The “What The Haunt” event allows players to complete missions with friends to unlock an Operator Skin based on traditional puppet theatre. Beginning 22 August, the “Ghost Night” event includes pre-registration rewards, daily missions, a token exchange shop and a personality quiz, offering an Operator Skin based on a fox spirit along with physical prizes.
The “Haunted Ring” event includes an additional Operator Skin, weapon trials, and a special playlist featuring voice lines recorded by content creators Sharlene San Pedro, Myrtle Sarrosa, AJ Moustachio and Doc Z.
