Following the original launch in PS5 last year, FINAL FANTASY XVI is now available on PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store. Players can either purchase the game or try it out first via the demo, which will offer two hours of content – any progress made here can be carried over to the full game when purchased.
FINAL FANTASY XVI Now On PC
The game introduces a standalone narrative set in the realm of Valisthea, where the spread of the Blight threatens peace. Players follow Clive Rosfield, a warrior tasked with protecting his brother Joshua, the Dominant of the Phoenix, as he seeks revenge against the Dark Eikon Ifrit.
The game also includes two DLC chapters: “Echoes of the Fallen” adds new content and features, including an investigation into mysterious dark crystals and the exploration of the Fallen tower known as the Sagespire. “The Rising Tide” introduces new Eikonic abilities, a new location in Mysidia, and an end-game challenge in the Kairos Gate with 20 stages of ranked battles against waves of enemies.
Aside from the base game, FINAL FANTASY XVI Complete Edition is also available, which includes both DLC chapters at a discounted rate (alternatively, they can be bought individually or as part of the game’s expansion pass on all platforms). Those who purchase the game before 11PM, October 17 (Malaysian Time) are eligible for bonus in-game items, including the Brave Blade Weapon, Cait Sith Charm (Gil Boost Accessory), and the “Sixteen Bells” Orchestrion Roll.
Pokdepinion: Not many games and franchises get this many titles and has managed to last for over 35 years – it’s a big achievement for sure.
