Late last year, Riot Games teased an Overwatch-style 5v5 multiplayer shooter under the name Project A / Project Ares. Not much else is known about it but it did get many gamers curious. That game has since been leaked with a proper name, and it’s called Valorant.
Valorant is expected to revealed officially soon but it appears that it has been leaked out. According to Esports consultant and insider, Rod Breslau, the game is considered a spiritual successor to Counter-Strike. It won’t just be a simple shooter as there is expected to be magic and some odd skills in play as well. There is already an official Twitter account for the game, @PlayValorant, but it has yet to tweet anything at the time of this writing.
Valorant isn’t the only thing Riot Games is working on.
Riot Games, the company behind the popular MOBA game League of Legends, has a few interesting things up their sleeves. One is Valorant and the other is an unnamed fighting game that is still in development. This was previously revealed at EVO 2019 by EVO founder Tom Cannon to clear up / confirm the rumours.
We expect to hear more on the game soon so be sure to stay tuned for further details.
