Ubisoft, the developer behind Rainbow Six Siege has updated their latest list of issues and concerns surrounding the game and it includes cheaters.

Cheaters in Rainbow Six Siege

They’ve revealed the issue on their blog post, where they’ve noticed the rise on player reports on cheating. They’ve said in the post that they zero tolerance for people that cheats and that they are working on several ways to combat the issue in the game.

One of the famous issue (in cheating) is the “lobby freezing”, where players intentionally freeze the game in the lobby, making players to leave.

It appears that an update will be coming soon that allows Ubisoft to track the ones involved in the act.

Here’s what they had to say about it:

The updates will allow us to gather necessary data points that we will use to accurately track and identify lobby-freezing. In future updates we will use this data to automatically detect and kick lobby-freezers.

If you didn’t know, Rainbow Six Siege utilizes BattleEye, an anti-cheat software. The company has said they are working to “strengthen our collaboration” with BattleEye developers to catch the cheaters faster.
