Ubisoft Shuts Down Hyper Scape After Just 2 Years

Hyper Scape was released back in 2020 from Ubisoft to compete against the likes of COD Warzone and Apex Legends. That being said, it appears that the company is pulling the plug for the game now.

Hyper Scape shutting down

The news was revealed over at Twitter where the official account posted on the matter of their decision to put the game to bed.

They’ve said “We have made the difficult decision to end development of Hyper Scape and shut the game down as of April 28th. We set out to create a vertical, close-quarters, and fast-paced shooter experience and we are extremely grateful to our community for joining us on our journey. We will be taking key learnings from this game into future products”.

While they didn’t reveal the exact reason of the shutdown, it’s most likely due to the lack of player base for the game. Should you be interested in playing the game, you might want to act quickly before they close it down. Hyper Scape is a free-to-play title that’s available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

Pokdepinion: When I first saw the game, it really reminded me of Unreal Tournament. It’s a shame that the hype (get it) went away after awhile.
