Apple makes some really good designs, and that’s probably why they are copied so often. The Apple AirPods has been copied by many manufacturers, and OPPO will be next to bring in their version into Malaysia. The OPPO Enco Free will be available in Malaysia starting 16th January.

OPPO’s take on the AirPods is actually quite cool. While the AirPods sits in your ears without trying to block out sound, the OPPO Enco Free actually comes with eartips to help get a more secure fit. It’s not going to be as in your ears as regular in-ears monitors, but they will help the Enco Free sit in your ears better aside from blocking out a bit more ambient noise.

The battery life is rated at up to 5 hours of music playback, or 25 hours in total with a full charged charging case. If you use it for calls, OPPO promises around 3 hours of battery life, because it offers AI uplink noise cancellation, whatever that means.

OPPO also claims minimal latency of 120ms, which is still relatively high if you want to use it for gaming or similarly sensitive applications. The Enco Free’s left and right earbuds communicates with your phone simultaneously, unlike older designs which involve the primary earpiece in charge of communicating with your smartphone and then relaying the signal to the other one.
