HUAWEI has already received the greenlight for the HUAWEI P30 Pro from SIRIM, with the device popping up on the local authority’s website. The SIRIM listing does not reveal much of the specifications, but at least we know it is coming very soon.

The HUAWEI P30 Pro is going to sport the WiFi 802.11ac, or WiFi 5. It doesn’t offer the fancy WiFi 6 support that the Samsung Galaxy S10 touts, but if the HUAWEI Mate 20 Pro is anything to go by, it may come with WiFi 802.11ac Wave 2 support which promises a whopping 1733 Mbps of bandwidth. There will also be wireless charging and also reverse wireless charging, just like the HUAWEI Mate 20 Pro.

In other leaks, the HUAWEI P30 Pro is listed to sport the Kirin 980, as spotted on the Antutu benchmark. The Kirin 980 is mated to 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage. With a Kirin 980, the HUAWEI P30 Pro won’t be setting any new benchmarks, but HUAWEI is definitely banking on its new Leica Triple Camera camera setup, which is expected to tout a periscopic telephoto camera, which allows for some unprecedented zooming capabilities.

Malaysia is one of HUAWEI’s important markets so we can expect to see it hit markets very soon after the 26th March launch in Paris. There has been much speculation about the early bird bundle as well which is expected to include a fancy HUAWEI Backup drive that doubles as a charger.
