Visionox may not ring as many bells as say BOE or Samsung when it comes to OLED displays, but they are a pretty big display maker in China. Visionox is the manufacturer for the OLED displays in the Xiaomi Mi Note 10, the nubia Red Magic 3 and also the unique Mi MIX Alpha with its all-around curved display. Soon, HUAWEI and HONOR will be joining the list of brands that Visionox supplies OLED displays to too.

Visionox has reportedly received an official supplier code from HUAWEI, and the smartphone giant will be evaluating samples by February 2020 and start using Visionox OLED panels in their products starting March 2020. According to the report, Visionox’s OLED panels will be used in HONOR’s and HUAWEI nova smartphones.

On the other hand, this development may finally result in mass-marketed HONOR smartphones with OLED displays, which has largely stayed away from OLED displays aside from the HONOR Magic 2.

We might also see some fancy new screen designs, as Visionox doesn’t shy away from the quirky. The Mi MIX Alpha is testament to that, and Visionox has already showcased their foldable OLED panels previously. A HONOR foldable smartphone soon?
