AMD Ryzen PRO 5000 series mobile processors combines Zen 3 cores with enterprise security features

The AMD Ryzen PRO series of mobile processors has just received an update, in the form of the AMD Ryzen PRO 5000 series. Similar to their non-PRO counterparts, the AMD Ryzen PRO 5000 series mobile processors pack the latest Zen 3 cores for upgraded performance and efficiency without sacrificing on the security.

The AMD Ryzen PRO 5000 series offer the latest security features like AMD Memory Guard and AMD Shadow Stack. The latter is a new hardware-enabled protection against malware attacks.

The AMD PRO series processors are also covered by 18-month planned software stability and 24-month planned availability to ensure that business will be able to continue using the AMD Ryzen PRO 5000 series without worries.

There will only be three SKUs under the AMD Ryzen PRO 5000 series of mobile processors:

HP and Lenovo are expected to unveil their Ryzen PRO 5000 series-based systems starting from Q2 2021.

Pokdepinion: Nice to see AMD add a new security feature for this generation, and also make sure that the Ryzen PRO 5000 series comprise of Zen 3 cores only instead of a mix like the Ryzen 5000U series.
