According to inside sources in the Chinese BoardChannels forums, Acer may be looking into making custom AMD Radeon GPUs and thus officially entering the AIB (add-in board) GPU market. Prior to this, the company has released Predator BiFrost Intel Arc A770 and Predator Intel Arc A380. The custom A770 model in particular contains a unique cooling layout with increased TDP under OC mode. The post did not specify on which AMD GPU may be the first model to wear the Predator name.

The source also mentions that custom NVIDIA cards are currently not in Acer’s plans, as Intel and AMD cards will be the main focus at least in the early phase of Predator’s AIB GPU business. Set to launch this year, it is said that this has been long in the company’s plans to produce custom GPUs.
